The Nexus Hawk card slot(s) supports USB*, ExpressCard* and PCMCIA cellular data modems . The Cellular WAN option allows the Nexus Hawk to provide access to the internet through the services of cellular data network carriers.
Insert your preferred cellular data modem into a the Nexus Hawk.
When the modem is inserted the Nexus Hawk will automatically detect which data carrier your cellular modem is on and connect, eliminating interaction from you the customer.
Drivers for most all current cellular data modems, both GSM and CDMA, are embedded and supported within this revision of firmware. However, new cards are often offered by the many cellular data network carriers. If you should find that a particular cellular data modem does not work properly with your Nexus Hawk please contact Nexus Support and we will gladly support your needs.
- USB and ExpressCard data modems require Hawk Certified PCMCIA adapter for functionality.
